ASME & National Board Stamp Certifications Achieved at Third Shop

April 3, 2017

W. Soule has been awarded American Society of Mechanical Engineers' (ASME) stamp certification at a third shop location - Custom Fabrication in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Jason Carter, location manager, states "this certification validates our company-wide quality standards and expands our capacity for this important work."

W. Soule was also awarded renewal of their stamps at the Soule Fabrication Group shop also in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The Custom Fabrication shop was awarded the "U" stamp for fabrication of pressure vessels and the National Board's "R" authorization to perform pressure vessel and pressure piping repairs and alterations.

W. Soule's history of quality
The ASME and National Board stamps are nothing new to W. Soule who has maintained them for 40 years. The shops at the corporate office and Soule Fabrication Group carry stamps for power boilers "S", pressure vessels "U" and power piping "PP", and the National Board "R" authorization for pressure vessel and pressure piping repairs and alterations.

"The certification of these capabilities by the ASME and the National Board gives our customers piece of mind as to the level of W. Soule's quality," explains Ned Hawkins, Corporate Quality Director at W. Soule.

The audit includes a review of past projects and demonstrated Quality Control implementations. Renewal audits are required every three years.

The stamp, or certification mark, indicates the item complies with the laws and regulations in nearly all U.S. States and Canadian Provinces. Only approved locations can stamp goods as meeting these quality and safety standards.

W. Soule is one of more than 7,000 companies in more than 70 countries currently certified by ASME.
