Fall has settled in, we’ve seen the leaves change into beautiful and bright hues, we’ve cheered for our football teams, and have been hunting with friends and family.
As we transition into winter nearly all of the leaves of fall have dropped, we’re waking up to frosty mornings and scurrying to tie up all the loose ends of the year. Preparing for the short days and long nights of winter, may we remember those less fortunate than ourselves and give thanks.
W. Soule came together again this year to provide dinner baskets for Thanksgiving feasts in our communities. Much like the host of Thanksgiving dinners around the countryside, employees donated the sides and fixings for this wonderful meal and our company provided the turkeys.
Four meals were delivered to Saginaw-area military and veteran families and another 25 dinner baskets were provided to foster families in the Kalamazoo area. Extra donations were given to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
For some it is simply a reflex to open their wallets and give to those in need, for others it is a less familiar action. Hopefully the fulfillment of giving back is felt on a multitude of levels.
For anyone who has ever been in need, it s humbling to receive this type of gift and joyous to think that one day they will be able to give back and repay the gift. For those fortunate enough to be able to give, may you always feel the love of each other’s generosity. As we reflect back upon this time of thanksgiving, may we remember to always be kind and find that center within ourselves where we are willing to give and be thankful.
