Helping Girl Scouts Earn Fabrication Badge

Helping Girl Scouts Earn Fabrication BadgeIt was our honor to help a group of local Girl Scouts earn their fabrication badge this weekend.

The girls, members of troop #80218, used brakes, rolls, punches and rivets to craft cookie cutters and book ends.

A very nice thank you email from the leader mentioned “The girls LOVED the event. They talked all the way home about the work that they did. Some loved the CAD, some loved the laser, some loved the cookie cutter, and everyone loved the experience.”

“They left the shop feeling empowered. One even mentioned she now understands she can do the same jobs she sees men doing.”

Thank you to members of our Custom Fabrication team for helping make this happen – Craig Palmer, Bob Morris, Steve Ringler, Jeff Anderson, Ryan Patterson, Brook Waddle, Ted Reinboldt, Mike Stephenson, Darren Ringler, Paul Vanderkley and Jason Carter.

What a wonderful, heartwarming experience for all involved. Here’s to our next generation of craftspeople.
