Power / Process Piping
Putting Over 70 years of Experience to Work for You
Started as a plumbing and piping organization in 1946, W. Soule has over 70 years of experience executing complex and unique piping fabrication and installation projects for industrial applications in many processing industries including food, pharmaceutical, chemical, energy & power and oil & gas.
Experience
All of our welders have passed our W. Soule welding certification program and many have additional specialty certifications and experience welding to multiple codes and standards. See examples below.
Tooling & Logistic Support
Whether working in our 125,000 sq. ft. of shop space or on location, our nimble tooling and logistic teams keep crews equipped with the materials they need to keep projects moving to meet deadlines.
Quality & Safety
Quality and safety are paramount in our work and it shows in the ethics of our teams. To meet our customers’ needs for product cleanliness we regularly work to the following passivation and electropolishing standards: ASTM A967, ASTM A380, AMS QQ-P-35, ASTM B912 and ASTM BPE.
Industry Involvement
As active members of the Pipe Fabrication Institute, W. Soule strives to enhance the codes and standards of the industry and implement them in our work. Our employees hold various leadership positions in PFI and are involved in research to set new standards.

Quality Assurance
A Quality-Driven Process
Quality processes drive our fabrication procedures.
- Prior to bidding work we review the material specifications, approved vendor lists and welding code requirements for a better understanding of the customer’s quality expectations.
- Once awarded the work the quality team begins planning with approved vendors and manufacturers.
- Drawings are prepared per customer specifications identifying necessary codes, hold points, customer view points and required testing. Drawings are approved by the customer and then materials are ordered.
- Materials are inspected upon arrival to confirm they meet specifications and then labeled for 100% traceability / Mill Test Report (MTR) Tracking.
- Fabrication begins based upon approved drawings and specifications. Inspections are performed at each hold point per written procedures. Weld logs and maps are updated.
- Required testing and quality check offs are completed. Final preparations like painting and insulation are completed.
We Regularly Work to the Following Criteria
ASME / National Board Stamps
W. Soule maintains ASME and National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors certifications in three of our locations. This allows us to fabricate to the ASME/National Board Codes.
- ASME PP power piping Stamp
- ASME S power boiler Stamp
- ASME U pressure vessel Stamp
- National Board R repair and alteration Stamp
