Local 85 Saginaw Area – HVAC/R

Deadline is March 31st – if applying after and accepted, it would be moved to the next year’s class

April – Interviews, if accepted – placement usually is before summer 

Local 174 West Michigan – HVAC/R

The application process takes place starting in February. The application includes: Application, Testing, and Interviews.  

Best advice would be to reach out to their training department in January

Feb – Applications accepted for Pipefitters, Welders, Plumbers, & HVAC/R Techs 

March – Testing for all included trades 

April – Interviews all included trades 

June – Letter in the mail saying you are accepted 

June/July/August (depending on contractor and trade) – placement after being accepted
